Two things fall out of that data. The first is that intake position decides which component wins. The King 95 Pro pulls through the side and exhausts out the top, and it takes the CPU result. The Antec fires two reverse-blade 160 mm fans up off the floor, and it takes the GPU result by six degrees while giving three back on the CPU. Neither is the better case. They are tuned for different bottlenecks.

The second is scale. The whole group lands within a handful of degrees of a Fractal Design Torrent, which is a conventional airflow tower with a straight front-to-back path. The corner costs something. It costs less than the layout's reputation suggests, and filling the fan mounts matters far more than the chamber count does.

How we picked

Start at the intake face. On a dual chamber that is the side panel and the floor, not the front. Count the fan mounts there, then count how many arrive filled. A case with six mounts and one fan is a case with one fan.

Then check whether hot air has an exit. Top radiator support is the useful proxy: if the roof takes a 360 mm rad, the roof is open. If the only exhaust is a single rear 120 mm, the fan plan has to push hard from below and you will hear it.

Measure the card, not the marketing. Quoted maximum GPU length assumes nothing else is in the way, so leave twenty millimetres for the power cables. Cooler height is quoted to the side panel and shrinks once ARGB fan tops go on.

What you give up

FAQ

Are dual-chamber PC cases actually better for airflow than a mesh-front tower?

Not inherently. Moving the power supply and drives out of the main chamber removes an obstruction and gives the intake path more room. But the glass front means air enters from the side or the floor and turns a corner, and a corner costs pressure. In noise-normalized testing the best dual chambers land within a few degrees of a conventional mesh-front tower rather than ahead of it. Choose the layout for the look, the cable management and the build experience, not for raw temperatures.

Do dual-chamber cases need more fans than a normal case?

Usually yes, and sometimes far more. Because intake spreads across the side panel and the floor instead of concentrating on one front face, these chassis tend to offer eight to ten fan mounts rather than five or six. Two of the five cases here ship with none at all. Before comparing prices, count the fans in the box and add the cost of filling the empty mounts.
